What is the Earthseed Farmhouse?
HOME
Earthseed Farmhouse is our home. It will serve to be a home for Black, Indigenous, and Caribbean Diaspora folx who are interested in being with nature, stepping into a community, and isolating in their own time. Navigating COVID, there are two guest rooms available for folx to sign up to trade for their visit. You can view posts from guests here.
One of the ways I've learned to heal is through my community. An important part of this space is learning what makes an open and accessible community, what keeps that space "safe", and how can we keep it sustainable. All of these are not new ideals to be explored; I'm excited to learn from the many Indigenous and Caribbean farmers and community members in the area. I've begun developing Community Norms, a system for Community Agreements, and a meal plan, because I feel like those are strong foundational bases. I also started a network of people building cooperative communities (that I hope to connect with other networks that currently exist)

Ways You Can Contribute
And Why!
The best part about this is that I want this to be a community that all can feel connected to. The space is to house and heal Black Folx, Indigenous Folx, and Caribbean Diaspora Folx; but it takes an entire society to help this project run. If you're interested in contributing you can donate to have a Seed named after you/panel in the Greenhouse/Maintenance, Purchase an Item from my Registry, or Donate any amount you're interested in. If you're interested in donating your time to help build or manage, email me here!
